Intergenerational Conversations with Educators

Rooted in the spirit of Sankofa and the African proverb, "What the elders see while sitting, the young ones standing on their toes won’t see," Intergenerational Conversations with Educators is a virtual series created to support teachers through the pandemic and the evolving climate of education. Featuring veteran educators who have devoted their lives to shaping young minds, the series draws inspiration from Dr. Asa Hilliard’s belief in the power of intergenerational cultural transmission. By sharing the wisdom of our elders, we empower the next generation of educators to forge new pathways for learning and fiercely advocate for the future of our children.

Teachers in Focus

Teachers in Focus is a tribute to the unwavering love and dedication that teachers bring to their work every day. Grounded in the guiding principles of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 (Quality Education) and 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), this initiative reminds educators that their love and dedication must begin with self-care. When teachers focus on their own well-being, they are better equipped to inspire and uplift the students who depend on their strength, passion, and wisdom to thrive.
